HUBUNGAN KOMUNIKASI FISIOTERAPIS DENGAN PENGALAMAN KERJA DI RUMAH SAKIT JAKARTA DAN SEKITARNYA TAHUN 2013

Abstract

Physiotherapy, as one of health profession, must be professional, effective and efficient on doing their duties and function. According to WCPT, one of physiotherapy profession standard is effective communication skill. Communication skill improve message delivery capacity and make a better interaction between Physiotherapist and patient. Communication of physiotherapist and patient has strong relationship with patient satisfaction level of the Phsiotherapy service. Research found that the communication skill is influenced by the work experience and giving positive effect to the patient’s behaviour and condition. This research use cross sectional methode. Hospitals and clinics as an analyzing    unit who give pt service. The research use chi square test to view the correlation between dependence and independence variable, with significancy (p) 0,05. The conclusion can be reviewed by significancy (p), if p<0,05 equals to Ha received and Ho rejected. If p>0,05 Ha rejected and Ho received. From this research we know that there is no correlation between PT communication skill and work experience with p= 0,731 (>0,05). This research found that work experience has not  influence the  communication   skill of  physiotherapist in Jakarta and around. Needs to improve the communication skill with course and training, because this skill has positif effect on improving patient and one of proffesion standart according to WCPT
